- Scenographix,
Ltd is an illustration and theatrical design firm located near Chicago.
Its two principals, Terrence McClellan and Kathleen Smigielski, have combined design
experience which includes nearly 1000 projects ranging from the design of theatrical
scenery and lights (including opera and dance), industrial show design, entertainment
design, exhibit and tradeshow booth design, theme party design, to illustration of space
and spatial objects, such as buildings, exhibits, trade show booths, theme parties, etc.
- Scenographix, Ltd,
has extensive experience in the use of computers to develop theatrical space and the
illustration of environments. The use of electronic visualization techniques can improve
the accuracy of a design, allow more flexibility and efficiency when modifications to a
design are desired, create a comprehensive link between the design and execution phases of
a project. The photographic nature of electronic visualization can instill client
confidence and increase the projects credibility. Yet, projects can be presented in a
looser, sketch style if this is desirable for a project. Presentation materials can
include video tapes which show a sequence of still images or animation sequences of moving
scenery, changing lights, etc, or a combination of each. Traditional flat art that is
either photographic or hand drawn (painted) in style is another presentation choice.
Computer presentations can be generated which could be shown on a monitor or presented
through public or private access web pages as a third presentation method.
- Scenographix, Ltd,
is able to produce its designs and illustrations employing traditional, manual techniques.
Pencil, pen, acrylic, gouache, or markers are all familiar materials expertly handled.
Models, either preliminary study models or highly finished presentation models, are part
of Scenographix' arsenal of tools.
- Scenographix, Ltd,
has experience working in just about every major city in North America and has extensive
international experience. That means we know venues and local suppliers around the world
so that, in most cases, projects won't have major interruptions caused by production in a
new location.
